Movement/Architecture: When the Body Meets a Building
People move through buildings every day, but how often do they pause to consider how these spaces shape their movements, emotions, and experience of the environment? In a new performance created especially for Open House, Beautiful Confusion Collective invites the audience into the Movement/Architecture project. Now in its 10th year, Movement/Architecture explores the intricate bond between the body and architecture. Through dance, it maps buildings and their evolving uses, challenges gentrification, and reflects on the body’s connection to the built world. During the performance, the audience will also be invited to reflect on their own memories of buildings and the ways these spaces have influenced their lives, adding a subtle, personal layer to the experience.
